Department of Community Medicine and Public Health

Public Health is a standalone department, its neither clinical nor biomedical discipline. At the moment its under Faculty of Medicine and Pharmaceutical Sciences , however it is anticipated to grow into school of public health in future.

The department is charged with responsibilities of teaching, supervising and mentoring  students of Bachelors of; Medicine & Surgery, Medical Laboratory science and Pharmacy in both theory subjects and field work.

The courses prepare the students with research-led teaching and  community based  education research and management services which later in the program provide necessary knowledge in general principles of community health .
