Mrs Mahija Rajabu, an Amirat from the Tanzania Women Association, which is an arm of the National Muslim Council of Tanzania urged women to study hard and keep the faith in order to excel in their respective endeavours. She gave this admonition during a female conference that took place on Saturday, 11th January 2020 at KIUT’s Masjid.

The gathering attracted more than 100 ladies from inside and outside the University, consisting of students, staff members and the general public to learn how to be  responsible in promoting Islam and living through the guidance of the Holy Quran and Sunnah.

Furthermore, ladies were also reminded that being a God-fearing Muslim meant leading a life of peace, patience and humility in the communities they live in, including helping fellow Muslims living astray from the teachings of Allah through counselling instead of harshness.

The Conference was organized by Kampala International University in Tanzania Muslim Association (KIUMSA). During the event, the association selected new female leaders with the proposal that a similar conference of the male counterparts to take place at alaterdate, preferably close to the Holy month of Ramadhan.
