Certification 

Those who complete all the necessary requirements with be awarded a Certificate of Excellence from KIUT.

Targeted group

The target group for this course are those already, or about to, work in the sector. Enrolling in a course is an ideal way to deepen, and update, one’s understanding of a particular field of work.

Mode of delivery

This course will be delivered through self-paced online learning, providing participants with the flexibility to study at their own convenience. Upon enrollment, participants will be granted access to a comprehensive set of course materials, including video lectures, reading materials, case studies, and interactive exercises.

Key features of the mode of delivery include:

  • Self-Paced Learning: Participants can progress through the course materials at their preferred pace, allowing for personalized learning experiences.
  • Online Access: All course materials will be accessible online through a dedicated learning management system (LMS) or platform. Participants can access the materials from anywhere with an internet connection.
  • Multimedia Content: The course materials will encompass a variety of multimedia formats, including videos, and documents to cater to different learning preferences.
  • PDF Workbooks: At the end of the course, participants will download PDF workbooks containing questions related to the course content. These workbooks serve as a means for participants to reinforce their learning and assess their understanding of key concepts.
  • Submission for Grading: Participants will complete the questions in the PDF workbooks and submit them electronically for grading. The grading process will provide participants with feedback on their performance and comprehension of the course material.
  • In addition to submitting written assignments, course participants will be invited to join a weekly ZOOM conference call where they can discuss the material with their tutor, as well as other students.

Admission Criteria

  1. Participants should have a minimum secondary school educational qualification.
  2. Participants with relevant work experience in the nonprofit sector or related fields.
  3. Course materials and instruction will be delivered in English, participants should have a sufficient level of proficiency in the English language.
  4. Access to a reliable internet connection and appropriate technology.
  5. Prospective participants may be required to complete an online application form, which may include providing personal information, educational background, professional experience, and a statement of purpose.

Fee Structure

Course Fee: Local 275,000 TZS

Payment Options:

  1. Installment Plans: One-time payment: Pay the full amount and get a discount of 5% off course fee. Weekly installments: Pay 16% of full course fee for 6 weeks.
  2. Discounts and Promotions: Group Discount: 5% off for groups of 3 or more participants who enrol together.
  3. Referral Bonus:5% discount for participants who refer a new enrollee who start the course.
  4. Scholarships or Financial Aid: Option for eligible candidates to apply for partial or full scholarships based on financial need or exceptional merit.
  5. Late Payment Fee: A penalty fee of 2% for participants who fail to pay the course fee by the specified deadline.
  6. Refund Policy: Participants may be eligible for a partial refund of 50%of the course fee, withdrawal before the course start date.
  7. Customized Payment Plans: For specific groups or organizations, such as corporate clients, nonprofit partners, or government agencies.

 

Discounted rates for staff, alumni, and students at KIUT for the “NGO Management” short course:

  • Staff at KIUT: Discount: 40% off the base course fee applicable to current staff members.
  • Alumni of KIUT: Discount: 25% off the base course fee applicable to individuals who are alumni of KIUT.
  • Students at KIUT: Discount: 25% off the base course fee applicable to current students of KIUT who are enrolling in the course.

Participants availing of these discounts will need to provide proof of their affiliation with KIUT (such as a staff or student ID) or alumni status to qualify for the discounted rate.
