Holders of Secondary School Qualifications (For form six applicants)

Minimum Admission Entry Qualification

The minimum entry qualification for Admission into Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) for all bachelor’s degree programs are indicated as below:

HUMANITIES PROGRAMMES

Completed A-level studies before 2014    

 Two principal passes with a total of. 4.0 points from Two (2) Subjects defining the admission into the respective programme (where A = 5; B = 4; C = 3; D = 2 E = 1).

Completed A-level studies in 2014 and 2015.       

Two principal passes, “C” and above with a total of 4.0 points from Two (2) Subjects defining the admission into the respective programme (where A = 5; B+ = 4; B = 3; C = 2 D = 1). Grade “D’ is not considered as a principal pass in this category.

Completed A-level studies from 2016

 Two principal passes with a total of 4.0 points from Two (2) Subjects defining the admission into the respective programme (where A = 5; B = 4; C = 3; D = 2; E = 1).

FOUNDATION FROM OUT

Foundation programme of the OUT a GPA OF 3.0 accumulated from six core subjects and at least a “C” grade from three subjects in respective cluster (Arts, Science and Business Studies).

HEALTH SCIENCES PROGRAMMES

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)

Three (3) principal passes in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with minimum entry of six (6) points, i.e., an applicant must have at least “D” grade in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPH)

Three (3) principal passes in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with minimum entry of six (6) points, i.e., an applicant must have at least “D” grade inPhysics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS)

Three (3) principal passes in Physics,Chemistry, and Biology with minimum entry of six (6) points, i.e., an applicant must have at least “C” grade in Chemistry and at least “D” grade inBiology and “E” grade in Physics.

Holders of Ordinary Diploma or Equivalent Qualifications

Health-Related Programmes from Diploma Level

All equivalent applicants must have an appropriate Diploma or Advanced Diploma with an average of “B” or minimum GPA of 3.0. In addition, an applicant must have a minimum of “D” grade in the following subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English and Mathematics at O-Level.

  1. One certified photocopy of both ‘‘O’’ and ‘‘A’’ level pass slips or their Equivalent
  2. One photocopy of the receipt of application form
  3. One photocopy of the ID One recent passport size photograph
  4. One photocopy of the birth certificate

  1. Direct Payment: This is payment made by directly depositing all fees straight into our bank account through any CRDB Bank near you. Please return the Bank Slip to the University Account Office after making a deposit. It will be used as proof of payment.
  1. Mobile Payment: This is payment made to the University CRDB Bank account through mobile money services, be it M-Pesa, Tigo Pesa or Airtel Money. Please DO NOT DELETE the completion message after the transaction completes for it is to be used as proof of payment at the University Account Offices.

  2. Select # 7 – Financial services
  3. Select # 1 – TIGO-PESA to Bank
  4. Select from the list # 1 – CRDB
  5. Select # 1 to Enter Bank Account Number
  6. Enter Bank Account Number (Our account number.)
  7. Enter amount you want to pay
  8. Enter PIN to confirm

 

Wait for the completion message from TIGO and CRDB. If the transaction is unsuccessful, please repeat from step no. 1 above

  1. On your phone call screen type *150*00# and press call button
  2. Select # 6 – Financial services
  3. Select # 2 – M-PESA to Bank
  4. Select from the list # 1 – CRDB
  5. Select # 1 to Enter Reference Number
  6. Enter Account no. (Our account number)
  7. Enter amount – Enter the amount you want to transfer
  8. Enter PIN – Enter your M-PESA secret code
  9. Press 1 to confirm  Enter no. 1 to accept the transfer

Wait for the completion message from Vodacom and CRDB. If the transaction is unsuccessful, please repeat from step no. 1 above

  1. Dial *150*60#
  2. Select 1: Send Money 
  3. Select 3: Send to Bank
  4. Select 2: CRDB Bank
  5. Enter Account Number  (Our account number)
  6. Enter Amount
  7. Enter PIN to confirm your transaction

 You will receive a message from Airtel

Please Note:

  1. The University Administration reserves the right to revise University Fees at any time during the course of your studies
  2. Fees Clearance Card will not be issued at the beginning of the Semester unless all fees are paid. Fees Clearance Card is to be picked from the Office of the Director of Finance.
  3. Money for meals and hostels should not be deposited in the University Account.
  4. Examination room access at the end of Semester will only be permitted to students who paid fees in full.
  5. Students who are beneficiaries of NHIF under their parents or guardians will be required to provide photocopies of their cards as proof to the Finance and Student Affairs Office, and ONLY then you will be exempted from acquiring individual cards.

Kampala International University in Tanzania recognises that students may experience difficulties paying full tuition fees by a stipulated date. To provide some measure of support, the university offers an instalment payment plan to bring ease to our esteemed students.
Tuition Fees can be paid either:

  1. In three (3) instalments per Semester; or
  2. In six (6) instalments per Year – (Two Semesters)
