About TAFES
The Tanzania Fellowship of Evangelical Students (TAFES) is part of a global movement to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ in universities and colleges across Tanzania, established in 1973 following the dissolution of the East African Community.
Originating from the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students (IFES) in 1947, TAFES evolved through the Pan-Africa Fellowship (PAFES) and the Fellowship of Christian Unions (FOCUS). TAFES-KIUT, initially formed as United Faith Christian Student Fellowship in 2010, joined TAFES in 2011 and was renamed TAFES-KIUT in 2018.
Operating in eight regions, TAFES-KIUT fosters spiritual growth, leadership, and community service among students at Kampala International University in Tanzania.
