To train health professionals who are conversant with the health problems of the communities they will serve, and who have knowledge, skills and above all appropriate attitudes that will make them sufficiently capable to run the health services to achieve health for all in the coming decades.

In order to achieve our philosophy, Kampala International University Faculty of Medicine and Pharmaceutical Sciences uses community-oriented programs,which, as much as possible, are community based in their implementation. It also uses implementation modalities that encourage active learning to ensure that the graduates become lifelong self-directed learners. In addition to the curative aspects of health service delivery, emphasis is also laid on disease prevention and promotion of good health. Likewise, research is also an integral part of KIUT’s programs.
