Overview
The O3 Plus project is a national initiative led by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in partnership with the Government of Tanzania and supported by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA). It is designed to ensure that learners in higher and tertiary education institutions achieve positive health, education, and gender equality outcomes. Its focus is on reducing new HIV infections, unintended pregnancies, and sexual and gender-based violence.
Kampala International University in Tanzania (KIUT, through its Directorate of Gender Affairs, is among the participating institutions benefiting from the project. This participation strengthens KIUT's ongoing work to create a safe, inclusive, and gender-responsive campus environment.
