KIUT Community Observes the Way of the Cross

The Kampala International University in Tanzania (KIUT) campus was transformed into a space of profound spiritual reflection on April 3rd, 2026, as the St. Aloyce Catholic Community (TMCS-KIUT) gathered to observe Good Friday. In a solemn and prayerful atmosphere, students and staff came together to participate in the Way of the Cross, a traditional procession that retraces the final steps of Jesus Christ.
The procession served as a living symbol of the suffering, sacrifice, and boundless love of Christ for humanity. As the participants moved purposefully from one station to another across the university grounds, the air was filled with: Deep Reflection: Contemplating the weight of the journey to Calvary. Collective Prayer: Lifting intentions for the university, the nation, and personal spiritual growth. Meditation: Focusing on the themes of redemption and divine mercy. Beyond being a liturgical observance, the event was a powerful testament to the faith and unity that define the KIUT community. By walking the path together, students and staff found an opportunity to renew their spiritual commitments and strengthen their bonds as one body in Christ.
The Way of the Cross reminded all present that the journey of faith is not one walked alone but shared in a spirit of brotherhood and sisterhood.
The event was not only a commemoration of Christ’s passion but an opportunity for our students to renew their faith and walk together in love.
As the Lenten season culminates, the KIUT community is encouraged to carry the lessons of this Holy day forward. May the spirit of Good Friday inspire us all to approach our daily lives, studies, and interactions with renewed compassion, humility, and love
