KIUT Students Shine At The 20th Win & Learn Academic Event at MUHAS

Students from Kampala International University in Tanzania (KIUT) took part in the 20th Win & Learn Academic Event, held on Saturday, 18th July 2026, at the Lecture Hall of Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS). The event ran from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and brought together scholars, researchers, innovators, and students from universities and health institutions across the country, including KIUT, to share knowledge, showcase academic achievements, and promote collaboration in health and related disciplines.
This year's event was held under the theme “Reimagining the Future of Health: Youth-Led Innovation, Digital Transformation, and Sustainable Solutions for a Resilient Health System.” The theme placed a strong emphasis on the role young researchers and innovators play in developing sustainable solutions, embracing digital transformation, and strengthening healthcare systems for the future.
Throughout the day, KIUT students engaged actively in a wide range of academic activities designed to give participants a platform to present and showcase their work before researchers, healthcare professionals, stakeholders, and mentors. Their participation spanned research presentations, innovation and project exhibitions, clinical case presentations, pictorial presentations, and poster presentations, offering them the chance to demonstrate their academic skills, creativity, and commitment to solving healthcare challenges. Participation in the event brought KIUT students several valuable benefits. It exposed them to a wider academic and professional network, gave them the opportunity to receive feedback and mentorship from experienced researchers and professionals, and boosted their confidence in presenting research and innovations to a broader audience.
The event also helped promote collaboration between KIUT and other academic institutions, while encouraging greater youth involvement in health innovation and sustainable healthcare development.
The 20th Win & Learn Academic Event proved to be a valuable platform for KIUT students to represent the university and engage meaningfully with fellow scholars and stakeholders in the health sector. Their participation contributed to strengthening research skills, building innovation capacity, and advancing professional development among the university's students.
KIUT extends its appreciation for the opportunity to take part in such an impactful academic event and looks forward to continued engagement in future research and innovation activities.
