Kampala International University Tanzania (KIUT) has confirmed its place in this season's (2026) national volleyball league, with both the men's and women's teams having qualified to compete.

The men's team will be entering the tournament as defending champions, returning to defend the title they won in the previous edition. The season's league features a larger field of competitors, with 12 teams competing in the men's category and 10 in the women's category. The first round of the competition will be held in Mwembeyanga, Dar es Salaam, from the 3rd through the 10th of August.

KIUT's teams will be looking to finish among the top eight in their respective categories in order to advance to the next stage of the tournament. Teams that progress will move on to the second round, running from 23rd of August, with the league finals played on 3rd of September.

KIUT extends its best wishes to both teams as they prepare for the tournament and calls on the university community to rally behind the players as they compete to bring further honour to the institution.
